after years of dedication i have mastered the art of “Youtubing” this is my step by step guide to uploading a video from the comfort of your own home!
1. First you must set up an account . Click on the sign up, and complete all necessary steps. Don’t make your username your name, make it something cool.
2. That wasn’t too hard now was it? i hope you picked a sweet handle, like “Draftbeernotpeople” or something. Now we need to make sure the video you have is the right format. Youtube is pretty easy when it comes to this. Make sure your video is either .WMV, . AVI, .MOV, or .MPG. Make sure your video is under ten minutes, because youtube recently put restrictions on the length. if it is longer you might need to chop it up, and upload 2.
3.Here comes the fun stuff. Click on “upload” in the upper right hand corner. Enter any information you want about the video. Give it a title, give it some tags. The more tags you have, the easier it is for other people to find. you also must categorize it. GO CRAZY with the tags because
4. Decide if you want your video to be “public or private”, then click “upload a video”.
5. Click on browse, and find your video file. select it.
6. Click “upload video”.
The converting process in youtube can take a long time, sometimes up to hours. I would do the dishes, or maybe clean your room. my video took about an hour in the tech center. Lucky for me i had a news article to write to pass the time
After the conversion is over. You can now post your videos on your blog, or wherever, like your WORDPRESS SITE!!!
